The MCA has won Recreation Nova Scotia's Mayflower Community Cooperation Award. Thanks to the HRM Recreation Department for submitting the application on our behalf (Francis Matheson, Norma MacLean & Marilyn Smith.) A brief description of the award is as follows: 'Presented to communities and municipalities that have shown outstanding cooperation for the improvement of recreation/leisure opportunities in the community. The recipient could be a community or an area within a municipality that has demonstrated creativity in initiating new projects that will lead to healthier futures in promoting, ensuring or advancing active lifestyles.' - - - - - > see 'press releases' for details
